Ski area Kappe
The skiing area Kappe is the family skiing area in Winterberg. Besides practice and beginner slopes you will find one of the longest downhill runs in Winterberg. The easy piste for the whole family runs through the middle of the Sauerland forest. But also professionals get their money's worth, because in the skiing area Kappe is also the steepest ski slope north of the Alps. Those who do without skis and snowboard can also toboggan at Kappe . Ski rental, lifts, restaurant, snack bar - in the skiing area Kappe you will find everything. It is also directly connected to the Skiliftkarussell Winterberg and can be used with the same ticket.
A walk through the treetops, a slide in green landscape and a flight adventure over the bike park: The Winterberger Kappe is not a mountain like any other. The bold construction of the 20-metre high Panorama Erlebnis Brücke is impressive. Squirrel Kappi accompanies families along the nature experience path. If you like speed, you can whizz downhill 700 metres in the summer toboggan run through curves, over bridges and jumps or play an exciting game of miniature golf. Mini-cars, diggers and "Kiss-the-Sky" trampoline will delight the kids. Opposite, the climbing forest invites you to shimmy and balance. For the younger ones there is a children's course. The ride with the Fly-Line across the bike park is also exciting. If you like it more comfortable, take the "Kappe Express" and let Winterberg show you through the large panorama windows.
The Hostel Erlebnisberg Kappe offers 50 rooms with a total of 148 beds. Among them double, triple and multi-bed rooms. Half of the rooms have their own bathroom with shower and WC. Some of the rooms have a washbasin. There are also enough showers on the floor.
With a total of six common/conference rooms, the Hostel Erlebnisberg Kappe offers sufficient space for groups, clubs and school classes with up to 150 people. WLAN is available to guests free of charge.
By the way, the Hostel Erlebnisberg Kappe is only about 300 meters away from the ski slope and has its own drying room and ski rental.
The Panorama Restaurant Winterberg welcomes you with a modern yet cosy mix of restaurant and café. Enjoy freshly prepared dishes à la carte, tasty cakes, fresh waffles and Italian coffee specialities.

In the bike park Winterberg you can find everything for mountain biking, improving your riding technique or just having fun. Up you go together with your bike by lift, down on over ten kilometres of professionally designed downhill tracks. The Bikepark Winterberg is the meeting point of the European mountain bike scene. But even less experienced riders can get started here. Learn the riding technique in the course with experienced guides. Bikes and protectors can be rented at the bike station.
